Hi All, Now that things are clearing up for me a bit with personal work, I'd like to start reorganizing the manual. I am planning to start doing this on Thursday as my schedule opens up then and also to give a bit of time to discuss. The steps I am planning so far are (and to be done in this order): -Collapse section II "Csound5 Opcodes" into the the current Section III "Overview". The opcode groups in the current section II seem to be analagous groupings of opcodes in the same way Section III has them. The work involved is minimal as it is just moving the section links from Section II to section III and then removing the Section II top.xml. -Collapse Section I "Csound5 Users' Guide" into the current Section III "Overview". This will be done initially by moving the section links from Section I into the top part of the current Section III. This will result in duplicated information between the new Csound5 information and the Old Csound4 relevant information (i.e. installation instructions). From here, it will be a process of evaluating what's of use in the old documentation that is relevant to Csound5 and merging that into the newer sections, then discarding outdated information and old sections, section at a time. This is what I am thinking so far, but I just realized we can go another direction by taking section III and merging them into Section I and II. The result in doing it this way would be similar to the above except the split between General information and Opcode Information would be maintained. I think that this could be a good way to do this too, and would partition the sections a little better (perhaps then this is the way to go). So the steps would be as above but moving relevant parts of Section III into section II first, then relevant parts of section III into section I. After this initial organization, I think the opcode sections that currently only list opcodes should be updated to use the format Andres Cabrera introduced for the GEN routines: http://www.csounds.com/manual/html/ScoreGenRef.html where the relevant opcodes for a section are listed in a table with their short information next to it to facilitate better browsing of information. Any feedback on these proposed changes would be appreciated! steven
