It is not only in the plans, but already included with Csound 5 for about
a year. Usage is documented here:

PortAudio is not needed for compiling the JACK plugin (it is also reported
to work on OS X, by the way), and in fact having PortAudio is not really
important on Linux with the availability of native plugins for ALSA and JACK.
