Thanks, adding the current location of csnd.py and CsoundVST.py to PYTHONPATH solved part of the problem. However, the install.sh script didn't install _CsoundVST.so and _csnd.so; I had to copy them into /usr/lib. Is there any preference for where csnd.py and CsoundVST.py are installed? /usr/local/share/Csound? Thanks again to everyone for their help! Csound5 and CsoundVST now run without errors, including with building OSC, and I can also run Cabel to see what it does; it looks neat! Yet one more way to have fun with Csound. :-) Now to see why the Tcl part wasn't getting built; not sure what that's needed for, or what functionality it adds, but may as well have another go at this and find out. -- R.
