Hi All, WOW! I just got back from the Sounds Electric '05 conference in Maynooth, Ireland and what a great time! It was such a pleasure to see some of you again, to finally get to meet many of you, and to meet many of you for the first time. The concerts were great (much thanks to all whose pieces were played and performed!), the presentations were excellent(again my thanks!), and all in all just a great time! For those of you who weren't there, it was quite a treat when Dr. Boulanger, at his keynote speech (Csound is really just everywhere!), surprised us all with bringing in Barry Vercoe! I unfortunately had to leave early on Sunday before Barry's presentation as well as the concert that evening of Dr. Boulanger's and Rajmil Fischman's music, so can't comment on either, but can't imagine it being anything but fantastic (the rehearsal for the concert was really quite fantastic!). I felt like for only being a few days the weekend was just absolutely full with all these wonderful events. Hopefully when we can get a conference review and papers together for the Csound Journal we can get more detailed information out there about all that happened. As Victor pointed out, it's Csound's 30th Anniversary next year, and I *really* hope we can all figure out a way to put on another Csound conference for the occasion. ^_^ Thanks again to Victor for getting this wonderful and memorable conference organized! steven p.s. - For those who were unable to make the conference, we're working out getting papers from the presenters at the conference as well as a conference review for the next Csound Journal, which I think we're targetting for a mid-January release. For those who have other articles to contribute or would like to contribute an article, you all still have time to work things up and submit for the next issue.
