After scons -h, I see that the alsa module is included by default. The command I used to build Csound5 was: scons buildCsoundVST=0 install Do I in fact have to explicitly use useALSA=1 when I build? Is there some other step involved in configuring it? > jpff wrote: > Sounds like you are not finding teh alsa module librtalsa.so > so first do you have thi sfile and secondly is it in a place where it is found? I have the file, but I don't know if this is the correct location: # locate librtalsa.so /usr/local/src/csound5/src/librtalsa.so /usr/local/lib/csound/opcodes/librtalsa.so Where should this file be in order to be found by Csound? What next? Thanks to both of you for your help. Renick -- Renick Bell http://www.the3rd2nd.com -- Send bugs reports to this list. To unsubscribe, send email to csound-unsubscribe@lists.bath.ac.uk
