Hi Art, ALL versions of Csound5 require either OPCODEDIR or OPCODEDIR64 to be set (which depends on if using csound built with floats or doubles). Csound5 always defaults to load all opcode libraries in the current directory. Beyond that, there is no good default I can think of. Michael's installer set up OPCODEDIR64 and OPCODEDIR but last I checked, didn't prompt for it and it overwrote my own settings, which is why I haven't tried since. (Maybe that's changed now?) Since everyone seems to place csound in different directories, and on windows, different drives, where would you expect the default directory to be that works for everyone? It's a zip build and instructions should probably be added, but beyond that, if you want defaults, you'll need an installer to do that to make it adaptable to where people install csound to. steven On 9/1/05, Art Hunkins wrote: > It would be ***very*** helpful for there to be defaults for all these > directory variables, so that most users wouldn't even have to bother with > (or even know about) them.
