The index.html file is in: C:/Program Files/Csound/Doc/manual/ but if I use that path, nothing happens when selecting "Manual" from the Help button. However, I think I found the problem. The help browser needs to be set. And, if I set it to point to firefox (by taking the ... browse button) I receive the error: Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (c) isn't associated with any program. So, I think the manual setting CSDOCDIR works somewhat. I say somewhat because it doesn't work the same all the time (note my original error.) This is like the errors I receive when using an external editor. Sometimes it works, sometimes I receive an error and I haven't changed any of the settings.
