This sounds like the Korg component modelling for synths like the ms20 vst that doesn't just model the oscillators, but models the entire analog circuit. If you know C you could try creating a new Oscil opcode that uses a model of an oscillor's analog circuitry, the circuits you'd use to build a tube oscillator like the test oscillators used at 1950s radio stations.
