Matt, It's good to hear you're busy making music. I know it is never easy to find time for everything, and that one have to choose what to spend time on. MacCsound have been *the* Csound application for Mac for many years, and I have a sincere respect for the work you have put into it. It was my understanding (as also stated by Joachim here) that MacCsound did not run in native intel mode, and was not fully updated. It is fully understandable that you won't always devote time to MacCsound being fully updated, but that also means that users will be looking for alternatives. When I get unsure if the software will be maintained, it might be a signal that I should start getting used to working without it. And when teaching, I find it even more important to teach tools that will be available (and updated) in the foreseeable future. best Oeyvind 2008/9/11 joachim heintz : > but with a much worse performance than the native intel version and with > many other problems, for example with the python libraries. > i completely agree with luis: i miss mac csound too, especially in teaching, > and a cross platform version would be the best of all csound worlds ... > best - > joachim > > > > Am 11.09.2008 um 20:56 schrieb Matt Ingalls: > >> it does work on intel! >> >> ________________________________________ >> From: k_o_m_p [k_o_m_p@yahoo.de] >> Sent: Thursday, September 11, 2008 11:43 AM >> To: csound@lists.bath.ac.uk >> Subject: [Csnd] Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: editor for mac >> >> Hi Matt, >> >> I was forced to change to Smultron but I would love to have MacCsound >> again on the lntel.
