That is correct, Csound uses SWIG to generate Python interface code and SWIG is specific to a particular version of Python, namely 2.5. We will be moving probably to Python 3.0 when that becomes standard. There should be no problem from having different versions of Python installed as long as each client of Python runs in an environment with its own PATH and PYTHONPATH environment variables set.
