Well the wonderful thing about csound/linux in combination is that it could empower a whole new generation of composers who otherwise would never be able to afford to do electronic music. Though with VST and the plugin/daw world its getting much cheaper, still if all you have is a hand-me-down pc, that's all you need, no need to get $500 for a daw, etc....
