As an aside, why even assume a USB keyboard... in the case of the
iPhone couldn't you just as easily set it up to use some combination
of Bluetooth and OSC a la the Wii-mote controller?

With a bit of elbow grease you could even get really hip if you're
into electrical engineering/circuit bending by getting one of those
roll up USB keyboards, gutting it for the sensors and retrofitting it
with a Bluetooth/OSC bridge that you could sew into a shirt sleeve or
some other wearable device. Couple that with Csound on your iPhone and
you're now a portable computer musician... maybe Paul Lansky could
even get into that sort of thing...
