Strange, it is the doubles version of 5.08 that I tried using it with. Is it correct to copy the CsoundVST.dll to Csound/bin, and then include Csound/bin in the directories to search for VST plugins within Cubase ? I also tried copying CsoundVST.dll to Steinberg\Cubase 4\VSTPlugins. Maybe the problem is related to Cubase 4, did others use that, or Cubase 3 ?
