Has Brahms been mentioned, as a candidate for the 
the latter ?   All noisy stuff I seem to remember, hardly 
sleep inducing. 

I.X. mentioned him in his interview with Curtis Roads on 
the L'Egende D' Er dvd, but as I remember not as a fount, 
more as controlling sound masses well or something. I'll 
check that. Introducing new material well, perhaps. 

My knowledge of concert music is thin, so I'm sorry not to 
be able to put forward any German or English composer 
names.
