Using the -midiindev, -midioutdev, and -listdev flags, I can communicate between two instances of PD in Windows using all 8 ports of MIDIYoke simultaneously. I don't know if it will work for as many channels as you want, but I imagine that if they are available MIDI ports on your machine, Pd can use them simultaneously. The format is: pd -midioutdev 1,2,3,4,5,8,12 or whatever, after checking the list with -listdev. OSC objects exist for Pd too, or more simple is probably the csoundapi~ object, which can output any number of channels. > The GlovePie option is a good idea! it's yet another "layer" though..... Isn't Max? I wonder which has more overhead. > sorry for the Amazon reference. I know they want to eat our babies... True, but I don't have any babies yet, so I don't mind so much. I see it's pretty cheap, I might spring for delivery to Romania. Amazon might even have entry-level job opportunities around here for English speakers. BTW, I did bring my electric banjo to Romania, so if you want some samples or orchestration info hit me up. -Chuckk -- http://www.badmuthahubbard.com
