Note that there is also an RPM package for Linux with more features
included than in the .tar.gz files and compiled for distributions with
gcc 4.x; unfortunately it is not visible by default because it was
incorrectly added to the "rc0" releases, so you need to expand rc0 to
find it.

No, and there are already changes since then.

I can create a source .tar.bz2, but note that I have a number of fixes
that will be committed this weekend.
