I just released a new binaural piece, called Garden Realities:

Garden Realities is entirely based on field recordings of summer birds. Some

recordings were

contributed by my favourite Motzhuhn. :)

Processing of the sounds is mostly subtle, using temposcal, movement and on

some recordings a little more FFT/PVS goodness.

I see the piece as a sonic world, a place to be in. From my point of view the

only questions that needed answering were: is it beautiful and does it take me

in? :)

Cloud Castles wouldn't have been the same without Csound. All risers, special

effects and drums were created in Csound and then loaded into LinuxSampler as

SFZ. For the drums I did load a few samples, added loads of processing and

other synthetic elements. The toms are based on the barmodel. The noise riser

is white noise processed by the m_risset_filter (a barber pole phaser)
