I have been (slowly) working through the results of the last coverity
run.  Some have been fixed (or believed fixed) but there are a number,
mainly in C++ for which I do not feel competent to act upon.

It would be a useful new year's resolution to clear many of the
remaining issues.  OK the user interface is not easy to navigate but
it at least comes in small bits!
