I have passed the installer files/structure to Jim Credland for him to build an Intel distro. I have also added a tar.gz of the installer files/directory structure to CVS (csound5_osx_installer_files.tar.gz), which should allow anyone to build installers identical to the one I have been building, with package maker. In that archive there is a readme with directions on how to copy the files to be installed to the right places and build the installer. It's pretty straightforward. If I get hit by a bus, now you can continue releasing for OSX... Thanks Victor - it will be great for all of us to know how to do this! Hopefully it will help Danny Patterson - who has something of a working version on his system. Maybe he and Jim will be able to figure out the port audio, loris, etc. stuff. and with Matt's help, maybe we will get the MacCsound UB version as well! That would all be great. -Rick On Mar 13, 2007, at 6:11 AM, Victor Lazzarini wrote: > I have passed the installer files/structure to Jim Credland for him > to build an Intel distro. > > I have also added a tar.gz of the installer files/directory > structure to > CVS (csound5_osx_installer_files.tar.gz), which should allow anyone > to build installers identical to the one I have been building, with > package maker. > > In that archive there is a readme with directions on how to copy the > files to be installed to the right places and build the installer. > It's > pretty straightforward. > > If I get hit by a bus, now you can continue releasing for OSX... > > Music Technology Laboratory > Music Department > National University of Ireland, Maynooth > > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > --- > Take Surveys. They don't need to figure out Loris. I never built it. I think it might be broken and we really don't know the code. I can't help there. I have been building the Loris opcodes on MacOS 9 for several releases now. I have been using Loris 1.3.0. I downloaded it to the OS X machine and unpacked it the last time I built Csound, but it does not look like I actually built the opcodes. I can't remember if I tried ... I've tested the opcodes on OS 9 and they work. Unfortunately, the Loris python extension was not though. I certainly would expect that you should be able to get it to work on PPC OS X since it works on OS 9.
