| I have uploaded a file release for CsoundVST at
http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/csound. CsoundVST.zip contains sources,
build systems for Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 1.0 and Dev-C++ 4.9.8.3, and
prebuilt Windows binaries.
This file release also contains Peter Hanappe's FluidSynth soundfont
synthesizer in the form of a Csound plugin opcode, fluid, for Windows.
CsoundVST adds the following capabilities to Csound 4.23:
(1) Python scripting for algorithmic composition.
(2) Standalone graphical user interface (FLTK).
(3) Runs as a VST instrument plugin.
(4) Builds the Csound API as a static library.
Up to date sources for CsoundVST are available in Csound CVS.
Please advise me of any problems. I am not sure whether I need to add
Microsoft runtime libraries to CsoundVST.zip.
Many thanks to John Fitch for hosting CsoundVST at SourceForge. Also, thanks
to John Ramsdell and Steven Yi for recent fixes to Csound sources, and
discussions.
More information is available online at http://www.pipeline.com/~gogins.
Future plans include basing CsoundVST on Csound 5, adding plugin opcodes for
Loris and the STK, and adding to the library of example scripts for
algorithmic composition.
