Do not expect me to maintain a build system that works (Scons) plus another build system. If you want a minimal system, please modify SConstruct to build one.

Excellent. Of course I will attempt to do so. Are there specific things  
in the SConstruct that are impossible to do via commandline gcc syntax  
/ makefile ? If not, is it possible to modify the existing  
Csound4.23f13 autconf+makefile to work with Csound5 (will it work?)
