The canonical Csound manual on csounds.com now has all Csound 5 documentation, including build instructions.

  IIRC the instructions for building Cs5 were included with the deleted 
csound.pdf file. Now that that file is gone, where does the new user go 
to find the requirements and directions for compiling Cs5 ?
