I've made a stripped down FLTK program that I think demonstrates a
thread safety bug in FLTK on MinGW.  Test your parallel programming
expertise, and see what you think of my assertion.

I've tested the new csound5beta version for windows.
I am very happy to see so many things working.
But, FLTK windows does not display for me,
I can see the window (FLpanel) outline, but it does not have any contents in it, only a plain white surface.
Am I the only one with this problem, or is it a bug ?
A simple test is attached.

It worked as expected here with Cs5 running under RH9, GCC 3.2.2, ALSA 1.04.

Hmm, works on Linux, fails to work on Windows.  Are you using
MinGW/MSYS?,  If so, it sounds like the same problem I had for Csound
4.

I think Michael uses MinGW, and I used his precomiled binary.
How could this be fixed ?

I am continuing to test the Csound 4 case, and will take a look at the
Csound 5 case next.  The key file to look at is widgets.cpp in both
Csound 5 and Csound 4.  One is in the InOut directory, and the other
is in csound directory.  Please remember, since I haven't looked at
widgets.cpp in Csound 5 recently, I can only guess at what's going on
in Csound 5.  Also, if you want to, you can look at the bug report STR
#675 at http://www.fltk.org.
