Make sure you don't have a rogue OPCODEDIR variable in your system. By default OPCODEDIR is /Library/Frameworks/Csound.framework/Resources/Opcodes if you have one it might be overriding the default. (if you want to set it, set it for the directory above). Hi Matt, Victor, Victor, that cleared it up ... you're a genius diagnostician! BTW I'm still chasing the %g++ -o lib_csnd.dylib build error exception report : (/usr/bin/libtool: for architecture cputype (16777223) cpusubtype (3) object: /usr/local/lib/libgcc_s.10.4.dylib malformed object (unknown load command 4) There's been a similar report in building R (the stats package)... Can I ask, what version of g++ are you using? [mine gcc is version 4.0.1 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 5250)] Also, is there a reason why csoundLibraryVersion = '5.1' when the csound release is v5.7? Matt, On disabling $OPCODEDIR CLIPPC version works perfectly. BTW, thanks for MacCsound - it's beautifully written. It certainly beats the punch card version of music5 I cut my teeth on! [ only to be overwhelmed by the ease of ed, then, vi, then RTCS on an Indy. Oh we are _so_ spoilt these days :-) ] David On 25/10/2007, at 5:13 AM, Victor Lazzarini wrote: > Make sure you don't have a rogue OPCODEDIR variable > in your system. I think this error might be because of one or other of the dependencies is PPC and you're trying to build Intel. Check if all the libs/object files are the same architecture. Problem fixed - caused by a bad install of xcode 2.4.1. Now compiles like a baby! I've still no sound from .csnd.py - I'll post re this in my reply to Mike G in the thread Re: [Cs-dev] Custom Csound/music development services available. Thanks your patience.
