Unfortunately I get "error creating temporary file" when I want to  
render a .csd.

Yes usually Csound prints something like this:
STARTING FILE
Creating options
Creating orchestra
Creating score
orchname:  /tmp/tmp.0.EEjk0o.orc
scorename: /tmp/tmp.1.vjHMLJ.sco

So there should be no problem with the /tmp directory. I'm using  
10.4.11.
