| Well, I'm done our first live Csound only show, and it went well. Computer
didn't hiccup at all, and the people were dancing. ; ) Now I have time to get
back to mucking around with the API and stuff.
A while back I enquired as to whether anyone knew of, or had an interest in
making, a wxWidget of a knob. I can find no such thing on line and this seems
like a serious drawback to wxPython for our purposes. Let's face it, sliders
take up way more screen space if you have a lot of controls.
Another option is pyFLTK I guess, but the latest news on that dates from a year
ago, so I question how active that is. Or does that just mean it's done?
Also, does anyone know much about pyPortmidi? It seems to me that for external
controllers to be at all useful they should be able to get controlled by midi.
Right now given the no-knob, questionable midi equation on python, C++ with fltk
and portmidi is looking pretty good, but I'd sure like to see python as an easy
option too.
Thanks
Iain
