| Getting closer to upload...
csoundapi~ builds with MinGW and probably can be used (like OSC, see below)
with the MSVC build.
More or less tested:
OSC works with the MinGW build of Csound.
The MinGW osc.dll works with the MSVC build of Csound.
Python, Java, Lua, and Lisp interfaces all seem to work.
csound5gui and winsound seem to work.
Remaining to test:
vst4cs
CsoundVST
fluidsynth
STK opcodes
When these are tested I will make MSVC installers and upload them.
I am not planning extensive tests... just basic "see if it runs" tests. I am
counting on you all to give me feedback on what works and what does not.
There also is a chance that I will inadvertently omit one or more of the
many required third-party DLLs.
I also have installed the evaluation download of the Intel compiler and will
attempt to build and test Csound with that. If it's not too hard.
This has been much more work than I anticipated, but I am very pleased with
the runtime speed of the Microsoft compiler, and especially how great the
Microsoft debugger is. And of course I am interested in seeing if the Intel
compiler can run even faster.
I haven't forgotten that Microsoft probably would not have released a
quality free compiler if it were not for Cygwin and MinGW...
Regards,
Mike
