This couldn't be another old-cparser/new-parser issue perchance?

I've obviously been meeting several of these recently.

I certainly hope that new "features" (such as a new parser) will not be 
built into binaries in the future before they are well tested. 
Non-developers are really blindsided, perplexed and/or disadvantaged by 
this.
