	I hope you can find a solution for this, because there was a problem I could not solve: a. The options are loaded after custom.py b. If you try to get options before custom.py, it does not seem possible to load custom.py. My solution was to: a. check if mingw (or perhaps gcc) are on the tools list given by scons b. load either custom.py or custom-msvc.py and setting a flag for msvc or msys build This was working correctly on my machines here. But it did not work in yours, so I looked for a fix, and the fix involved patching up scons. So if your scons set-up is correct and is picking up gcc or mingw in the tools list, then it will work. You might not want to patch up your scons, but you will need at least to fix it.
