I believe the A4 r-variable is working as expected -- Tarmo Johannes'

Indeed,

the first test file works for me as well. I hope to do more testing later.

But ths is great! now we can make a campaign amoung the 432-Hz people:
" Turn all your music perfect with Csound with just one single  line:  A4=432"
 :)

Not to speak about many real life needs  like Eduardo wrote about (pianos or orchestra in 442 etc etc)
