The link you reference is for an obsolete version of the manual.

The directories are indeed different on OS X -- but that's all I know, not having OS X.

SourceForge is the current starting point for Csound and there are no plans to change that.

Thanks Mike. but to be clear, the version of the manual in which it occurs
is the one on sorceforge.
Is there a manual sub-project running? .. Perhaps I could make a
conribution.
