Trying to get a release out is hard enough without the code changing
under feet at the current rate.  So please can we concentrate on
getting the release out?  I am seeing code reorganisations that are
interfering with creating releasable code.

On a more positive note, libsndfile development now has code for loop
points in AIFF.  I will look at how to use it (as this is a bug).

I would like a rc2 (at least for Linux) today or tomorrow, with a
target release date of 2006 Jan 6

I am building 4 system.  The code is changing so fast that i cannot be
sure that the systems relate to the same sources.
