Hello. Both
http://nmedit.sourceforge.net
http://electro-music.com/forum/download.php?id=7115 (for g2ools)
are GPL software.
How difficult it would be to write a nm1_to_csound importer/protocol?
NMEdit supports only NM1 format but that would not be a problem
because NMEdit could be used as a frontend to Csound. Expert
NM patchers would actually built patches for Csound as well.
A protocol would be needed if NMEdit would be used as a realtime
panel for Csound.
Of two choises: (1) adding Csound modules to NMEdit, (2) importing
NM1 patches to Csound (and thus using NMEdit for Csound), I would
select the choise (2) as then I could test all those thousands
of NM1 patches in Csound (at least privately for educational
purposes).
