It works if one takes care to use utf-8 encoding (this is what is defined in the <?xml > tag in manual.xml). jEdit can be set to use utf-8 as default encoding.

In 'command/top.xml', the last paragraph is not clear. Maybe the word 'overrides' in 'contral rate overrides (-r and -k flags)' should be deleted ?

I think its not completely wrong, as 'overrides' is used as a noun, but
I've reworded the paragraph for clarity. I've also added some hyperlinks
for cross reference. If you find places where this might be worth while,
yell...
