Hi All,

I just saw this on slashdot:

It's about Windows 10 including OneGet, a package manager similar to apt-get.  It mentions choclatey (https://chocolatey.org) as well.  I guess this is also all related to/built-upon NuGet, which I haven't spent much time investigating.

Anyways, thought it interesting!

Yes I saw it as well, looks very interesting indeed. NuGet is I think
inspiration for this, as it seems to be .Net focused. There aren't
many programs or native libraries there. On the other hand, on
chocolatey you can find many programs and libraries.

It seems OneGet is an extension of both. It appears early previews
could use the chocolatey feed but not anymore (possibly a bug). I sure
hope this thing picks up steam so that the massive pain that is
installing stuff on windows goes away...
