Csound is installed in /usr/local/bin and you
have to have this on the path (the installer
can't do anything about it).

CsoundGUI has always been problematic on the mac.

Thanks Victor - I figured it was his .bashrc or something like this.   
I must have set mine years ago and
as I migrated computers, the search paths were migrated too.
