Why would I do that? I am trying to render to a soundfile.

Anyway, if I set -+raudio=winmm, I no longer get the ASIO dialog, but I 
still render TO SOUNDFILE much, much, much more slowly than before.

Well, you wrote that the slowdown may be related to the ASIO dialog,
so it was interesting to see what happens if it is disabled.
Another question is whether the slowdown occurs only in CsoundVST,
or also with the simple command line frontend ?
