Are we distributing 5.03? It's getting very confusing
now. I thought the latest release was 5.02 and I
don't remember anyone agreeing to the next release date.

I can do a 5.03 package, if we agree to go for it. Just
let me know. I can do it next week, but then I'll be
away for four weeks, so I'll only be able to do it
again in August. Or perhaps we should wait the dust to
settle a little?

Can we get this organised better?

I would prefer to wait for a while before a new release.  The problems
at sourceforge meant that 5.02 was less than a clear release.  I am
not sure what important changes have been made since then, but then I
have been largely out of action with marking.  I would like to see the
MIDI channels sorted out -- personally I favour a change to 1-16 with
0 mapped to 1 -- and there are currently confusions with half-written
code.  Any other opinions?

I agree the MIDI opcodes should always take from 1-16. As far as I can
tell, this has not been addressed on vst4cs. Istvan also reported this
behavior for the fluidsynth opcodes.
