autoconf-2.59-3 Source RPM says it requires xemacs.  Apart from the
obvious question if why, I really do not have the disk space for yet
another version of emacs that I will not use.  I have looked for
rpms and there is nothing for RH7.3.  Have not looked for Debian or
OSX10.1 yet, but I am not expecting much.

Just found   http://debian.jones.dk  which promises apt-get versions
of the tools.  Will try later
