Hi, for months i am busy trying to improve the manual and my priority is: good and simple examples for every opcode. Now i like to add another remark in the See Also section of the manual pages: a link to the Csound Journal where additional information regarding that particular opcode can be found. For example for the connect opcode this could be something like: More information on this opcode: http://www.csounds.com/journal/issue13/signalFlowGraphOpcodes.html , written by Michael Gogins and for the crossfm opcode: More information on this opcode: http://www.csounds.com/journal/issue12/crossfm.html , written by François Pinot and so on. I have some questions: 1. is "More information on this opcode:" correct English? :) 2. is it possible to make the articles of The Csound Magazine available like The Csound Journal has been made accessible by Steven Yi? Can somebody do that? 3. a link to a page of the FLOSS manual could be made can be made as well 4. is all this a good idea? If so, i want to implement this right away while i am busy working on the examples. greetins Menno -- View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/See-Also-in-the-manual-tp3326921p3326921.html Sent from the Csound - Dev mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Learn how Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) One Node allows customers to consolidate database storage, standardize their database environment, and, should the need arise, upgrade to a full multi-node Oracle RAC database without downtime or disruption http://p.sf.net/sfu/oracle-sfdevnl _______________________________________________ Csound-devel mailing list Csound-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https:/ |

Hi Menno, I would suggest for consistency and simplicity that you don't add new headings. I think that information fits perfectly well in the "See also" header. Cheers, On Tue, Jan 4, 2011 at 12:25 PM, menno |

Hi, point 1 of my questions has been positively answered by someone too, so i have committed the links to the Csound Journal in the See Also section of the manual, in the way as mentioned above. There is only 1 question unanswered for which i would like to ask your attention again: 2. is it possible to make the articles of The Csound Magazine available like The Csound Journal has been made accessible by Steven Yi? Can somebody do that? (i can not) thanks, menno -- View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/See-Also-in-the-manual-tp3326921p3329397.html Sent from the Csound - Dev mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Learn how Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) One Node allows customers to consolidate database storage, standardize their database environment, and, should the need arise, upgrade to a full multi-node Oracle RAC database without downtime or disruption http://p.sf.net/sfu/oracle-sfdevnl _______________________________________________ Csound-devel mailing list Csound-devel@lists.sourceforge.net |
