| No, the PPC installer is only for apple-supplied
Python. So if you want to use it, you will need
the 2.3 installed in /System/Library/Frameworks.
Now for the Intel Machine I have experimentally
put out an installer that installs both modules
(for apple's python 2.3 and for macpython 2.4).
Since the coexistence of two macpython versions
on the same machine is not that straightforward
(as is on Windows), I have chosen 2.4 and not 2.5,
following David Worrall's advice.
The modules are not binary compatible, so you need
a 2.3 for Python2.3 and 2.4 for python2.4. Note
that the Python opcodes however are always linked
to Apple's 2.3, because that is the only version
guaranteed to exist on all machines (I don't want
dylib not found errors as on Windows, annoying some
and putting off others). So if both csnd for 2.4 and
python opcodes are used, there might be some funny
interaction (or perhaps not).
Anyway, if this works well, I might do the same for
PPC.
