My compositions use CsoundVST together with SciPy/Numeric, and Numeric currently is stuck at Python 2.3. Otherwise I would have upgraded Csound to 2.3 long ago. Numeric seems to be in turmoil, so I don't expect this to change soon.

I think upgrading SWIG would get us all on the same page.  For python
though, it's a bit trickier.  I remember someone on the list some
months ago mentioning that some people are still sticking to 2.3 for
some compatibility or stability reasons.  I'm going to try to work
with 2.4 and see what happens as that seems useful to try(maybe OSX
10.4 only comes with python 2.4 I am thinking; I have 10.3.9 at work
and it has 2.3).
