Could I request that massign documentation be updated to indicate the a
value of -1 for insnum defeats the default behavior assigning the specified
channel to an instrument number?

That is, unless this is what is meant by "the channel is muted." If so, this
terminology is misleading. What is the case is that Csound doesn't then make
a default assignment, and it is left to the user to make one - as with
midiin.

Oeyvind pointed this out recently; and it has proven crucial for me in my
