So, are we ready to release 5.03?

If so, shall we prepare for it?

1. Set a date for tagging and building binaries.
2. Decide who will do the linux binaries in place
of Istvan (RPM & deb).
3. Go for it!

15/08 is Wednesday. I suggest tagging is done on
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday can be left for building
packages, which can be uploaded to a (hidden) 5.03
release. When all is ready, the release can be made
public. I suggest the old 5.03 binaries be removed now
just to avoid confusion (they are not equivalent to
the 5.03 proper).

I saw in the other list that there was a bug in
pconvolve, which Istvan was fixing in his sources. Can
this be incorporated prior to 5.03. Can anyone do this?

moment.

Well, when i asked that question I got little response either.
Yes we are still shooting for 15 Aug (The Assumption).  I have just
fixed a couple of things in the tutorial.
  We need to consider tracking Istvan's change to pconvole -- I looked
but I could not find what he changed, apart from the number of channel
stuff
  The tutorial is still lacking Linux stuff.  Not sure if I will have
time to do it myself...

We can leave the pconvolve changes out, if we cannot do
it by Sunday, so that tagging can go ahead. Could you remove
the 5.03 packages and hide the release that is out  at the moment
in sourceforge?

Also, how do we set/unset the 'BETA' token when building csound,
so that the startup messages do not print 'beta version'?

I reinstated the "buildRelease=1" stuff to control the BETA in
SConstruct

I was not aware that there was a 5.03 package anywhere.  Will look.

Hi,
Sorry for the silence. I've been too busy. I'll finish off the changes
in the vectorial opcodes and the manual entries tonight and the release
date is great with me. I would offer to build the rpms and debs but I
can't currently build csoundGUI, due to my version of FLTK, which might
be an important component of the distribution.
One more thing I'd like to ask, is csoundGUI available in all the
distributions, and has the path problem been solved?
