| what I noticed was that things like printing
messages to the terminal are quite costly on
OSX, due to the graphics system.
Strangely enough, my experience is that Jack is
worse than the other IO modules on OSX, but
Julian seems to report otherwise.
In any case, I have used Csound on OSX for RT
without any need for doing anything, even on a 500 MHz
G4. Simple PV stuff works OK without dropouts.
Of course, on the nice dual-processor 2.2 GHz G5, I
can do much more...
