Am I right in thinking that while this function allocates and sets up
a function table it does not actually send the event to Csound? This
happens later?

What I'm trying to ascertain is whether or not I can call this
function myself at any time in a host app without effecting the
current performance? Seems to be Ok in my simple tests.
