| Hi, Mike,
Thanks for the quick response.
I've been using (with XP SP2) the 5.07.2 float installer, and though I'm
requesting Python installation and it seems to be happening (the .msi takes
some time to "install" prior to the Csound installation), python25.dll is
not showing up anywhere - including in Windows\System32.
The two computers I've installed (the same) on, both show the same result.
On one of them I'd previously installed Python2.5.1, which *does* put
python25.dll in the above directory. (Unfortunately, it doesn't place other
needed files (by CsoundGUI and Winsound) - namely pd.dll and tcl84.dll (the
former isn't present at all) - where Csound needs to find them. (I gather
that PYTHONPATH might need to be changed.)
At any rate, I really don't think the installer is installing python
correctly. Could you - or someone else, please - possibly install 5.07.2,
float version, on an XP machine that does not have Python, but requesting
Python installation and seeing if Python (python25.dll) is correctly added?
I'd really appreciate it.
TIA,
Art Hunkins
