Subject[Cs-dev] Windows installers uploaded
I have updated and uploaded the Windows installers for Csound 5.07 at
SourceForge.

Some things are incorrect, or missing, in the release notes and changelog.

CsoundVST is not replaced by CsoundAC. Rather, in order to be consistent
with SourceForge licensing policy, all algorithmic composition classes
(which are completely under LGPL) have been moved from _CsoundVST.pyd to
_CsoundAC.pyd. _CsoundVST.dll has been renamed to CsoundVST.dll, and remains
as a VST plugin version of Csound.

CsoundVST is not included in the SourceForge installers, but I do build an
installer that does include CsoundVST, should anyone wish to host it.

The C++ STK opcodes in stk.dll have been restored to the Windows installers,
as they are now under a BSD type license that appears to be compatible with
SourceForge policy. The STK opcodes have been updated to the current version
of STK.

The fluid opcodes have been updated to the latest, Subversion head version
of the Fluidsynth library, built with Visual C++ 2005.

The PortAudio module for Windows has been updated to the latest, Subversion
head version of the PortAudio library, built with Visual C++ 2005, and now
includes drivers for MME, ASIO, DirectSound, and WDM. The WDM driver support
is, I believe, new for Csound and offers low-latency audio without need for
ASIO.

The CsoundAC.MusicModel class has new convenience wrapper functions so that
for most uses, all music making tasks, including assembling music models for
composition, assembling Csound orchestras and arrangements, and running
Csound, can be performed with methods of the MusicModel class.

By the way, I am very glad to see the pvs buffer opcodes, which finally
allow time stretching with the streaming phase vocoder. This should make
Csound much more useful for acousmatic music. Congratulations, Victor!

Regards,
Mike
