Your decision to quit is of course yours to make. But I do hope you reconsider it.

One reason I value your contributions to Csound 5 is precisely the hope of having a single standard version of Csound. This is not a small matter for the future of Csound or, even, of computer music.

I think I should have started my own branch of Csound back then.
After all, there were only a few contributions to the library and
API this year that are not mine, so I could have been able to achieve
the same results alone. Unfortunately I made the wrong decision.

You already got that. I will no longer mess with anything at all.

I think if I have a sufficient number of new ideas and
changes to be made - this still remains to be seen, I may
consider creating a new project on SourceForge and maintaining
that.
