I just found another consequence of the \ issue. It's again a puzzle: What's the output of String sprintf "This\nis\t%d\tproblem!\n", 1 puts String, 1 ? Sorry for being so persistent, but: Please withdraw the current release. It's not possible to work with it. It looks like the \ issue is very pervasive. I will issue a bugfix when John fixes it (I have no idea where to start). Thanks. As John said, at the moment the --new-parser option doesn't solve the problems. Besides the fact that just few people know about it, some CSDs don't work with it. Perhaps it's the best to withdraw 5.12, finish the new parser, and release 5.13 as fast as possible?
